Twister Arena
Twister Arena is a three-handed shoot-out tournament with a random prize being drawn at some tables. The winner of the table receives the drawn reward (in case of paid round) and proceeds to the next round. As the Twister Arena tournaments consist of several rounds, the players run the chance to win great rewards even without winning the tournament. Keep in mind, however, that not every round rewards a prize, therefore, if a given round does not reward a prize, the gameplay begins immediately without a prize being drawn.
The minimum number of players that must register for the tournament to begin is 81, whereas the maximum allowed number of players that can register is 729. More detailed information on the game rules of the Twister Arena tournaments is available in the Rules section.
RULES
The Twister Arena tournaments are supported on Download Desktop, Native Mobile, and New Web clients.
The Twister Arena tournaments have the following characteristics:
- The minimum number of players that must register for the tournament to start is 81. If the tournament is configured with late registration, the minimum number of players becomes 82.
- The maximum number of players that can register is 729.
- The maximum number of players per table is 3 (3-handed tables).
- Late registration is available only in Round 1 (when the tournament is configured with late registration).
Be aware that late registration is available only in case the tournament starts with such a number of players that Round 1 consists only of tables with 1 and 2 players. When this is the case, the number of players that can register late equals the number of tables with 1 player only.
- The buy-in amount of the tournament can be between 0.01 EUR and 100 EUR. In other words:
- The minimum possible buy-in amount is 0.01 EUR.
- The maximum possible buy-in amount is 100 EUR.
- The total prize pool of the tournament is based on the players’ buy-ins. The total prize pool is calculated by multiplying the number of registered players by the tournament buy-in.
- The min. possible prize pool is 0.81 EUR (min. number of players * min. buy-in).
- The max. possible prize pool is 72,900 EUR (max. number of players * max. buy-in).
- The prizes in the paid rounds are always cash.
- The prizes and the prize distribution for the winners of the tables are configured in the Poker Admin Backend.
The values of the configured cash prizes must be between 0.01 EUR and 10,000 EUR. In other words:
- The min. cash prize value is 0.01 EUR.
- The max. cash prize value is 10,000 EUR.
Keep in mind that if the tournament is configured with late registration, the fast progress to next round functionality is put on hold until the late registration period ends. When the late registration ends, all players who have won their tables in the current round are instantly moved to the next round.
- Twister Arena tournaments are played in “Shootout” format - the tournament is played in rounds; the winner of each table in a given round proceeds to the next round; when three players remain, they play against each other on the final table.
- A Twister Arena tournament can have between 4 and 6 rounds (without the final table) depending on the number of registered players.
- In Round 1 some players can play against one opponent only, whereas some other players may qualify for Round 2 without playing. The goal of Round 1 is to qualify to Round 2 a number of players that is a multiplier of 3 (for example, 27, 81, 243, etc.).
- In the rounds after the first one, the players are always seated 3-handed.
- A random prize is not drawn in the first round – winners of Round 1 qualify for Round 2 without winning an immediate prize.
- In the rounds after the first one, a random prize may or may not be drawn, depending on the number of registered players. When a prize is drawn, the winner of the table not only proceeds to the next round but also wins an immediate prize.
- Players at the final table play for what has remained from the total prize pool of the tournament. The admin can define what percentage of the total prize pool must remain for the final table.
This percentage cannot be less than 5% and more than 95%. In other words:
- The min. percentage of the total prize pool that can be set to remain for the final table is 5%.
- The max. percentage of the total prize pool that can be set to remain for the final table is 95%.
